Omega City Ch1She saw a dark tunnel stretching before her, ridged and shadowy in the half light. She heard over the tumultuous shouting sound that echoed around the twilight cavern an audible -click- that she shouldn't have been able to hear. Then with a searing light and burning sensation spreading across her back, like ripples in a golden pond she was thrown high in the air. She saw the ground rushing closer and closer and shut her eyes tight. She lay on the jagged floor with cold darkness seeping in to her askew rag-doll body and a swirling mist clouding her wide eyes.
